Here's a couple great ways to support HSBC without it costing you anything!!!!!!
If you order from Amazon.com you can help support the shelter animals by going to AmazonSmile.com & selecting 'Humane Society of Burnett County, Inc' as your chosen charitable organization. When you do that, Amazon will donate 0.5% of your total purchase to the shelter. Please spread the word to your friends family that order from Amazon.com also.
'WALK FOR A DOG'
If you walk or ride a bike with your dog there is an app for your smart phone that keeps track of the walks & donates to the shelter of your choice according to how many people walk & how far they walk. You can even use the app if you don't have a dog to walk with & they'll still donate. You can learn more about it & get the app at www.WoofTrax.com.
Thank you for your support!
Here are some things we could use:
Hi, my name is Grayson!
I am a four year old Shepard mix that came to the shelter as a stray a couple months ago after not being very well cared for in my previous life. I had heartworm, which just as the name says, is a horrible parasite that resides in the heart. Without treatment the parasite will cause a slow & miserable death. Lucky for me, the great folks her at the shelter, with the help of generous donors to Star's Fund, have treated me! (Heartworm is a very costly & lengthy treatment). Now, as you can tell by my photo, I am dreaming of my new forever home!! If you have room in your heart for another family member won't you please stop by to meet me!
Hi, my name is Mistletoe!
I am a senior girl who was rescued by some kind people & brought to the shelter just in time to be saved. You see upon arrival to the shelter I was rushed to the vet because I was extremely thin, weak, dehydrated & hypothermic & my paws were badly wounded. The vet said I would not have survived much longer on my own. Given that the temperature that very night after being rescued was well below zero I was told that I most likely I would have been dead by morning. My paws were in VERY bad condition & they are unsure what caused the injuries....possibly fire or chemical burns. Despite my very poor condition when I arrived, I am an extremely affectionate & loving lady who would love a lap & home to call my own. Please stop by the shelter to meet me, I would love to meet you! They say my personality & resilience are 'priceless'....therefore my adoption fee is $0.
